Network marketing legend Randy Schroeder walked away from a high-level brokerage career to pursue his dreams in network marketing, and generated a $24 million income in the process.

Randy was first exposed to network marketing in 1982 when he sold a weight loss business that he owned to Watkins Inc. Watkins is one of the oldest direct selling/network marketing companies in the industry. For the next two years he observed the "inner workings" of network marketing.

  1. He was broke, after taking his stockmarket profits, investing heavily in real-estate, and then watching the market collapse. On the verge of getting his sports car and beautiful home repossessed, he learned the hard way that even a "good" paycheck is no guarantee to financial freedom.
  2. A network marketing leader named Craig, who showed Randy his monthly earnings report. His MONTHLY, not annual earnings were $173,000.00.

Not only was Craig earning much more money than Randy had ever earned, Randy became entranced with the quality of that income. Randy leanred that unlike his income experience, Craig had created an income generating machine which had taken on a life of its own.

Craig taught Randy the three principles of leverage. Randy quickly realized he wanted to put these to work for himself:

  1. Craig showed Randy how to earn income not only on his efforts, but on the part-time efforts of thousands and the full-time efforts of hundreds. It became innediately clear to Randy that he could never accomplish, as one man, what this army of people could accomplish.
  2. Randy was introduced to the leverage of consumption. Craig was earning income not only on the efforts of many, but also on the consumption of tens of thousands of housholds.
  3. The third form of leverage that Randy was taught is the leverage of time zones. Randy had always earned income up until then only during the typical business day. Craig pointed out that since he had a mortgage and car payments, the interest never ever stopped. Randy spent money every moment of every day, yet he only earned money between the hourse when the New York Stock Exchange opened and when it closed. He realised that he would never get where he hoped to go financially until he broke that equation. Craig showed Randy that not only did he earn income from the efforts and consumption of many; he also earned income around the clock. This was possible since his distributor organization literally spanned the globe!

This set of facts became clear and obvious to Randy and caused him to rethink everything he thought he knew about the industry. It caused him to realize that the network marketing industry - while often misunderstood - had basic success factors in place, which he had never seen or found available before.

He joined on the spot and was blessed over the course of the next 19 months as Craig and other leaders taught him clearly and concisely what elements are required for success in network marketing. Over the next 10 years, Randy earned more thatn $17 million in bonuse checks, and then sold his distributorship.

Randy doesn't recommend network marketing for the "average" person. The average person, he believes, is living a life of quiet desperation, but too content with it to get out of it.
